Most coating failures related to preparation, adhesion, or installation tend to show themselves early. If a floor has been properly prepared, moisture-tested, installed, and has performed well through normal use, it has demonstrated that the coating system is properly bonded to the concrete.

A lifetime warranty can sound appealing, but the definition of lifetime and the exclusions behind it can vary significantly. We prefer to state exactly what we stand behind, how long coverage lasts, and what is included. Our goal is not to use warranty language as a sales pitch. It is to give customers realistic, valuable protection.

Offering a defined warranty also helps keep pricing practical. Extremely broad or open-ended warranty promises can increase costs, add confusing exclusions, or create uncertainty about what will actually be covered years later.

Our 8-year warranty is designed to provide substantial coverage for the issues that matter most, peeling and delamination, without inflating the price of a project for a promise that may be difficult to interpret or enforce.

A lasting floor starts long before the coating is applied. Elite Surface Coatings performs moisture testing and evaluates the concrete before beginning work, because proper preparation is essential to long-term adhesion.

We would rather be transparent about the condition of the concrete, the finish selected, the installation process, and the warranty provided than make an unlimited-sounding promise with fine print. The commitment is simple: install the floor correctly, stand behind the workmanship, and provide clear coverage customers can rely on.

Elite Surface Coatings Warranty Outline

Elite Surface Coatings provides the original customer with a non-transferable limited warranty for 8 years from the date of substantial project completion.

Subject to the terms below, this warranty applies to peeling or delamination of the installed coating system when the failure is caused by defects in installation workmanship or qualifying product performance under normal residential or light commercial use.

Before installation begins, the substrate will be evaluated for moisture conditions using the company’s standard testing method or another reasonable testing procedure selected for the project.

Moisture testing is an important part of determining whether the slab is suitable for coating. If elevated moisture or vapor transmission is found, the start date may need to be postponed, additional prep may be required, or a moisture-mitigation recommendation may be made before installation proceeds.

Because moisture movement below or through a concrete slab can change over time, the warranty does not cover peeling, bubbling, or delamination caused by hydrostatic pressure, excessive vapor transmission, or moisture originating beneath the slab after installation.

Project duration depends on several factors, including the size of the area, condition of the concrete, weather, repair needs, moisture readings, and the finish selected.

Some finishes can be completed in a single installation day, while thicker or more specialized systems may require additional site time, added cure time, or a return visit to complete the final coat.

Any timeline provided before the project begins is an estimate only and may change if site conditions require further preparation, repairs, drying time, or schedule adjustments due to weather or material performance requirements.

Under this limited warranty, Elite Surface Coatings may repair or recoat affected areas at no additional charge when a valid warranty claim confirms that peeling or delamination resulted from covered installation-related failure.

The company may choose the appropriate remedy, which may include localized repair, partial recoating, replacement of the affected section, or another commercially reasonable corrective solution.

This limited warranty does not cover moisture-related failure caused by hydrostatic pressure, vapor transmission, groundwater conditions, or moisture originating below the slab.

This limited warranty does not cover cracking, shifting, settling, heaving, or other structural movement in the concrete substrate that occurs before or after installation.

This limited warranty does not cover damage caused by abuse, neglect, misuse, impact, dragging heavy objects, improper cleaning methods, or failure to follow care instructions.

This limited warranty does not cover surface wear that is cosmetic in nature and does not involve covered peeling or delamination.

This limited warranty does not cover damage caused by chemicals or substances outside ordinary expected exposure, including highly corrosive materials.

This limited warranty does not cover changes caused by site conditions outside the installer’s control, including weather delays, pre-existing slab issues, or concealed substrate defects.

To request warranty service, the customer should notify Elite Surface Coatings promptly after discovering the issue and provide reasonable access to inspect the area.

After inspection, the company will determine whether the condition is covered and what corrective action is appropriate under this limited warranty.

This warranty applies only after the project balance has been paid in full and only to the original purchaser unless a separate written transfer approval is provided by Elite Surface Coatings.

This warranty is limited to the repair or replacement remedies described above. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Elite Surface Coatings is not responsible for incidental, indirect, special, or consequential damages arising from a covered or non-covered condition.
